Rodriguez de Mendoza is a province belonging to the department of Amazonas in the northeastern Peru between 6°18’57” S latitude and 77°32’17” W longitude. The town of Mendoza is the capital of Rodríguez de Mendoza province.

Rodriguez de Mendoza comprises of 12 districts and the major districts are Santa Rosa, Santa Claus, Mariscal Benavides, Cochamal, Vista Alegre and Limabamba.

Rodriguez de Mendoza is spread over an area of 2359 km², surrounded by the Chachapoyas province in the west and department of San Martin in the north, south and east.
