Tsevie is a city belonging to the Maritime Region in the western African country Togo. It is well known as a trading town and it is also noted as an important palm oil processing area in the country. Tsevie is geographically positioned between 6°26′ N latitude and 1°13′ E longitude, around 32 km north of Lome, the capital and largest city of Togo. Tsevie is also a point, where the highways from Tabligbo and Lome interconnect each other. Ewe people form the majority of Tsevie’s population.

 

Accessing Tsevie:

Due to its geographical position near the national capital, Lome, reaching Tsevie would not be a difficult task for visitors. The country’s only operating airport, Lomé-Tokoin Airport is situated around 35 km south of Tsevie. The airport handles flights from/to from Casablanca, Brussels, Cotonou, Ouagadougou, Paris, Monrovia, N’Djamena, Niamey and Ouagadougou.

Tsevie is linked to the cities of Notsé, Atakpamé, Blitta and Lome by both railway and bus services. There are many travel agencies in the town, from whom rental cars can be taken for local travel.
