Salvador was the first capital city during the colonial rule and is the popular city located in Bahia state in Brazil. Salvador is the richest city in north east part of Brazil and well known for its music, architecture, cuisines and metropolitan area. History of Salvador:

Salvador was first established by Portuguese in the year 1500 and named as Baia de Todos os Santos and from the year 1549, Portuguese settled in the region and administration was established. In 1552, Catholicism was started in the city and was divided into upper and lower city and became the capital of Portuguese in Brazil remained until 1763.
