History of Kiev:

Kiev, also called Kyiv, takes its name from one of its four founders, Kyi. According to the documented history, Kiev was established in the end of 9th century. Kiev was designated as a capital of the first East Slavic stat, Kievan Rus’ during the rule of Varangians. From then Kiev has been served as the capital of many powers including the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic.

Kiev hosts the most important airport of the country, named Boryspil International Airport, is situated around 30 km away from the centre of the city and including Moscow, London and Paris, this airport covers all the major European cities.

Ukrainian National Chornobyl Museum:

The Ukrainian National Chornobyl Museum is concentrated on the 1986 Chernobyl disaster. It is open for public from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 18:00 and Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00. It is a must visit.
