Riscani is a city and district situated in the northwestern part of Moldova, around 175 km northwest of the national capital, Chisinau. Riscani experiences a temperate-continental climate with an average annual rainfall of 400–550 mm. Riscani is home to a wide range of animal species including foxes, rabbits, badgers, boars and deers.

 

Geography of Riscani:

Riscani coordinates with 47°57′ N latitude and 27°34′ E longitude. The district of Riscani is spread over an area of 936 sq. km located at an altitude of 280 meters and is surrounded by the districts of Drochia and Singerei to the east, the Edinet and Donduseni districts towards north, Municipality Balti to the south and the Glodeni district towards west.

 

Connectivity to Riscani:

Riscani is situated about 190 km away from the Chisinau International Airport is the important airport of Moldova receiving flights from the many major European cities such as Paris, Moscow, Madrid, Rome, Milan, London, Dublin and Istanbul.

Taxis are generally available at the airport and it is advised for tourists to book rental cars prior to reaching the airport for comfort journey.
