Apodaca is a city in Mexican state of Nuevo Leen positioned at the coordinates of 25°47′ N 100°11′ W. It is the 4th largest city of the state after Monterrey, Guadalupe, and San Nicolas de los Garza. Apodaca and its surrounding municipalities come under the Monterrey Metropolitan area. Apodaca municipality is spread over an area of 183.5 sq. km. placed 405 meters above sea level.

Apodaca is home to the country’s two major international airports and the headquarters of two renowned airlines. Apodaca is one of the industrial hubs of the state housing numerous manufacturing industries. Apodaca is also home to famous Las Cruces Golf and Country Club.


Etymology of Apodaca:

Apodaca was named in the honor of Bishop of Linares city, Dr. Salvador Apodaca (born in 1769 in Guadalajara city of Jalisco).  Apodaca was founded in 1585.

Apodaca is located 20 km away from the state capital Monterrey and 930 km from Mexico City, the capital of Mexico.
