History of Savannah:

Savannah was established in the year 1733, by the General James Oglethorpe and in the year 1751, Savannah was made the capital of Royal Colony of Georgia and was the major commercial port of the 13th colonies. America and French forces tried to capture the region in the year 1778 but failed to rout the British but later in the year 1782, the British left the country. During the 19th century, Savannah was the most populated city in the country and prospered due to the port.
