Limbe is a coastal city located in the South-West Region of Cameroon at an elevation of 150 meters, around 70 kilometers west of Douala, the largest city of Cameroon. Limbe is a colorful city renowned for its black sandy beaches and nightlife activities, catered by numerous modern clubs, restaurants and cafes with tourist favor features. The Limbe Wildlife Centre and Limbe Botanical Gardens are the two other highlights of Limbe.

History of Limbe:

The documented history of Limbe states that the British missionary Alfred Saker was the founder of Limber, founded on the southern bevels of Mount Cameroon in the year 1858. Victoria was the former name of Limbe and the city adopted its current name in the year 1982.

Limbe holds an airport, but service is infrequent. So it would be better if one can reach Douala International Airport first and then they can take a bus or taxi or pre-booked private transports to reach Limbe. The Douala Airport is located around 70 kilometers away from Limbe and operates scheduled flights from Paris, Johannesburg, Paris, Nairobi, Istanbul and many other global destinations.

Bismarck Tower:
