Panhala Fort

Pangong is a beautiful lake positioned at a height of about 4,350 meters from the mean level of sea. It is 134 km long lake sited on the Himalayan range, sixty percent of the lake flows in Tibet and remaining forty percent in India. The lake has a total area of 604 sq. km. and about 5 km wide.

Pangong Lake is situated between latitude 33°43′04.59″ in the north and longitude 78°53′48.48″in the east. The lake is home to rare species of some small crustaceans.
