Pangot is a village situated in Kosiyakutoli Taluk in Nainital District in the Indian State of Uttrakhand. It is located about 17 kms from district main town Nainital and about 282 km southeast of state capital Dehradun. Pangot lies between latitude 29°25′25″ in the north and longitude 79°25′37″ in the east.

Also there is annual fair celebrated in the temple by great fervor.

Hedakhan Ashram is the ancient place with the picturesque beauty and known for cool environment sited on the banks of Gaula River and located few kilometers away from Kathgodam City. Hedakhan Ashram is in near proximity with several attractively built temples and caves.
ARIES Astronomical Observatory:
ARIES (Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences) Astronomical Observatory is located 10 km away from Nainital Town on Peak Manora. It was established for the purpose of astronomical research in the year 1955. Presently, there is research process on planets, solar and hypothetical streams of astrophysics in ARIES. Tourists can visit this research centre only with prior permission of the concerned department. The research centre is open for visitors from 7 am to 9 pm.
Corbett National Park:
Corbett National Park is one of the chief national parks of the country home to great numbers of Indian Tigers, chital, nilgai, elephants, and sambar. The project was completed in the year 1973 and the park is stretched over an area of 500 sq. km.
