History of Pavlodar:

In the year 1720, Pavlodar was under the control of the Russian Empire. The place was then known as Koryakovsky. A small part of the army, belonging to the Russian Empire was stationed at Pavlodar, during which Pavlodar was an important place because of the presence of fertile lands for agriculture and a major hub in the production of salt. In the year 1861, the place was renamed from Koryakovsky to Pavlodar.

Under the Soviet rule in the year 1955, due to the campaign known as Virgin Lands Campaign launched, the region prospered drastically. Many developments in various fields took place at a faster pace. People from the neighboring regions of Pavlodar began to settle in Pavlodar region in huge numbers because the huge employment. The city further progressed commercially and economically. The mid 1960’s saw many industries being established in Pavlodar. Owing to the production of ammunition, Pavlodar shut its doors to foreigners only to open it in 1992. The Soviet rule ended in the region in 1991, and Pavlodar became a part of Independent country, Kazakhstan.

History of Kyzylorda:

As per the historians, a fortress was built in Kyzylorda in the year 1820. After the construction of the fortress in the region, people from nearby places began to settle down in Kyzylorda region. The commander of the fortress was Yaqub Beg. In 1853, the Russian army invaded Kyzylorda region. After conquering the fortress the Russians changed the name of the fortress to Perovsky. Trade flourished in this entire region, and the city was known by the name Perovsky until the end of 1922 where the name was changed to Ak-Mechet. The city received the name Kyzyl-Orda at the beginning of 1925 when it was declared for a short period of time as the capital of Kazakhstan.

History of Kostanay:

The place Kostanay came live with the findings of various mineral deposits in most parts of the region by the geologists and investors in the year 1956. Arkalyk was first declared a city and later it formed the center of Torghay area in the year 1971. The year 1980 saw various industrial establishments open up in the region apart from mining companies. The region’s economy was booming. However its economic situation was not as best when compared with the other regions. The fact was that majority of the areas in Arkalyk was used for farming. To tackle with this issue, the region was divided and merged with Aqmola and Kostanai region. However the situation did not improve. History of Kokshetau:

As per historians, a fortress was constructed in the region in 1824. This fortress was built over a hill named Kokshetau. The English translation of the word Kokshetau means ‘Blue Mountain’. In the year 1868, Kokshetau fell under the Soviet rule. During the period of Second World War, many people from Poland migrated to Kokshetau. Kokshetau served as a center of administration for the region Kokchetav Oblast in the year 1944 on 16th of March.
