Raiganj is a city in the Uttar Dinajpur district of West Bengal, India. Raiganj is positioned at 180 km south to Siliguri and 400 km north to Kolkata city. It shares its periphery with Bihar in the west and Bangladesh on the north. Raiganj Wildlife Sanctuary

Raiganj Wildlife Sanctuary is positioned 4 km north of Raiganj at an altitude of 25°37′ N 88°07′ E in Uttar Dinajpur District of West Bengal. River Kulki streams to the east of the sanctuary and National Highway 34 passes through it.

Raiganj Wildlife Sanctuary also branded as Kulki Bird Sanctuary is the second biggest bird sanctuary in Asia and its most prominent species is the Asian Open bill Stork which it shelters in huge numbers. This sanctuary also looks after 164 bird genus within its huge tropical deciduous woodlands.

Numerous wandering birds such as egrets, night herons, cormorants and open-bill storks congregate into the Raiganj Bird Sanctuary every time from south Asian countryside and coastal provinces, It is an breathtaking view. Several resident birds here are kingfishers, owls, woodpeckers, flycatchers, drongoes and kites.
