Dinajpur is a district situated in Rangpur Division in Bangladesh, about 347 km northwest of national capital Dhaka. Dinajpur is one of the popular tourist hubs in the country which occupies an area of 3,437.98 sq. km. Dinajpur District is placed between latitude 25.63° in the north and longitude 88.65° in the east.

Dinajpur District is surrounded by Nilphamari and Rangpur districts to the east, Joypurhat district in the south, Panchagarh districts on the north and West Bengal State of India towards west.
