History of Dalkhola:
Formerly Dalkhola was a part of Bihar state which consisted of dense forest and sparely inhabited by few tribal group of population. But later after India gained independence the place gained strategic importance as many economic and social developments started taking place in Dalkhola. The town expanded and Nagar Panchayat was formed and gradually became a prominent place for trade and commerce. Dalkhola became known for cultivation of crops such as jute, maize, corn and oil which were grown in large scale. In the year 2003 it became a municipality in North Dinajpur district in West Bengal.

Raiganj Bird Sanctuary:
Raiganj Bird Sanctuary was found in the year 1985 located at the close proximity from the National Highway situated near river Kulik spreading across 1.30 sq kms. The sanctuary is known as the one of the second largest bird sanctuaries in Asia which forms a home for many migratory birds like open bill storks, night herons, cormorants, bulbul, kingfisher, woodpecker, dove sparrow and Siberian crane. Many tourists come to visit the sanctuary from all over the world which is one of the main tourist spot in North Dinajpur.
Kunore:
Kunore is a small village located in North Dinajpur district which is famous for its terracotta pottery works. The tourists coming to this village will get a life time chance of watching the villagers making terracotta pottery works which is a blend of talent and workmanship.
