Ainaro is a town situated in Ainaro District in East Timor. It is located between 9°0′ S latitude and 125°30′ E longitude, about 113 km away towards southwest of national capital Dili. Ainaro District occupies an area of 797 sq. km situated towards the southwest part of the country. Soro, Maununo, Cassa, Suro Craic, Mau-Ulo and Manutassi are the major regions of Ainaro.

Ainaro District shares its borders with Aileu District on the north, Bobonaro District towards west, Ermera District in the northwest, Cova-Lima towards southwest and Manufahi District in the south.

Ainaro, Hatu Udo, Hatu Builico, and Maubisse are the sub districts of Ainaro District. Ainaro is well known for delectable organic coffee and fragrant sandalwood trees. Agriculture and tourism are the main economy sources of Ainaro.

The population of the Ainaro comprises of Catholics, Protestants, and Muslims. Catholics are in higher majority, followed by Protestants and Muslims. Cape Fatucama:

Cape Fatucama is a fabulous beach located in Dili, about 113 km from the heart of Ainaro. Another prime attraction of East Timor, Jesus Statue is situated in the vicinity of Cape Fatucama Beach.

 

Pousada:

Pousada is one of the favorite spots of water sports lovers placed about 190 kms from Ainaro Town. It is the big swimming pool owned by the Pousada de Baucau located in Baucau.
