Pamporovo is a famous ski resort situated in the Smolyan Province of Bulgaria at an elevation of 1620 meters, around 18 kms north of the provincial capital, Smolyan and 230 kms northwest of the national capital, Sofia. It is one of the popular ski resorts in Southeastern Europe attracting a large group of tourists, especially beginners and intermediates for skiing and for snowboarding activities during the winter months.

Pamporovo is served by Plovdiv Airport located around 75 km from Pamporovo operating scheduled flights to London, winter seasonal flights (from December to March) to Dublin, Kiev, Belfast, Moscow and Rostov-on-Don and summer seasonal flights to Hahn.
