North Bay is a city as well as administrative centre of Nipissing District in Ontario province of Canada, situated about 330 kms from the provincial capital Toronto and 350 kms from the national capital Ottawa. North Bay was established as a town in 1891 and it achieved city status in August 1925.

North Bay is well known for its educational institutions such as Nipissing University and Canadore College.
