Settlement in Oklahoma was established near the border of Arkansas border around 850 and 1450 AD and the first European to spot the region was Francisco Vásquez de Coronado in the year 1541 from Spain, but the state was claimed by the French sailor in 1700s and ruled the region until 1803.
