Luang Prabang is a UNESCO World Heritage city situated in Luang Prabang Province in north central Laos. It is located about 300 kms north of national capital Vientiane on the convergence of Mekong River and Nam Khan River. Luang Prabang is placed between 28°18′ N latitude and 74°58′ E longitude.
