History of Montevideo:

Montevideo was founded by Portuguese and Spanish established settlement in the year 1723 and Portuguese constructed the Montevieu fort in the year 1723 to keep a watch on Spanish. In the battle of Montevideo held in 1807, British captured the city but later recaptured by Spain. During the Spain rule, several buildings, railway line, roads, schools and hospitals were constructed in the city. During the 20th century many Europeans migrated to the city and established themselves in and around the city.

Mercado del Puerto, commonly known as Port Market, is a charming vicinity of the city of Montevideo that sells handcrafts, artifacts and other similar items and the place has been admired for more than 150 years.

 

Salvo Palace:

Salvo Palace also recognized as Palacio Salvo is a historical monument which was constructed in the year 1928 by Italian architecture Mario Palanti and building is 100 meters in height and constructed in art deco style.
