Liege city is positioned in the valley of the Meuse River in the province of Liege in Wallonia region in Belgium, is the industrial backbone of Wallonia region and economic and cultural hub as well covering an area of 69.39 square kilometers (26.79 square miles). History of Liege:

Liege was inhabited by Roman’s from centuries but the first settlement in the Liege was recorded since 558 inhabited by Bishops. Liege was attacked by numerous emperors due to strategic position and in the year 1345, Liege rebels attacked the Prince-Bishop Engelbert III de la Marck and defeated him. During the War of the Spanish Succession in the year 1704, Duke of Marlborough invaded the city and later captured by French and during the World War I, the city came under the rule of German and after the World War II, industries were established in the city.
