Mossendjo is a town situated in the Niari Region of the Central African country, the Republic of the Congo, located at an altitude of 529 meters, around 170 km north of the city of Loubomo, 320 km northeast of Pointe-Noire and 450 km northwest of Brazzaville, the capital of the Republic of the Congo.

The economy of Mossendjo is concentrated on its logging activities and agricultural and mining are the other sources of the Mossendjo’s economy. The major agricultural products grown in Mossendjo include cocoa, peanuts, banana, tobacco and coffee. The Congo-Ocean Railway is running through the town since 1920.

 

Connectivity to Mossendjo:

Mossendjo has an airport with infrequent flights from Pointe Noire and Brazzaville. Better, if one reach Pointe Noire Airport (around 320 km) first and then take bus or taxi from there to Mossendjo. The Pointe Noire Airport is one of the most important airports of Congo along with Brazzaville, with frequent flights from Brazzaville, Paris, Johannesburg, Kinshasa, Douala, Malabo and many other domestic and continental destinations.
