Mohenjo-daro is an archeological site situated in Sindh province of Pakistan. This UNESCO World Heritage Site dates back to 2600 BCE, located about 430 kms from Karachi city. Etymology and History of Mohenjo-daro:

The literal meaning of Mohenjo-daro in Sindhi language is ‘mound of the dead’.

Mohenjo-daro was constructed during 26th century BCE and was well developed of its time. Mohenjo-daro was abandoned during 1900 BCE.
