Tuan Haji Mohamed Arif Bin Punak was the designer of the mosque. The mosque is constructed with blend of Moorish and Malay architecture style.

Istana Besar:

Istana Besar or Grand Palace was constructed by Sultan Abu Bakar in the year 1866. It was constructed with Anglo-Malay architecture and is now used for regal purposes, investitures and state dinners. The Royal Abu Bakar Museum is the chief attraction of the palace. It has a wide set of striking rare artworks, imperial heirloom and a historical royal families photographs.

Johor Bahru Old Chinese Temple:

Johor Bahru Old Chinese Temple is the 19th century temple constructed by Tan Hiok Nee and the chiefs of the different Chinese groups. Hua Guang Da Di, Hong Xian Da Di, Gan Tian Da Di, Zhao Da Yuan Shuai and Yuan Tian Shang Di are the 5 deities of the temple. The Annual Chingay of this temple is very famous held during the first lunar month of 20-23rd.

Sultan Ibrahim Building:

Sultan Ibrahim Building is situated at Bukit Timbalan in Johor Bahru and the project was started in the year 1936 and was completed in 1939. Later it was authoritatively inaugurated by Sultan Ibrahim.

The architecture of building is the prime attraction and the temple is designed with mixture of colonial and Malay architecture.

Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple:

Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple is a worship place of Hindus located in Tebrau in Johor Bahru. It is considered as the only glass temple in entire Malaysia. This temple lies in 1°28′7″ N latitude and 103°45′35″ E longitude. Almost 90% of the temple is built with blue, yellow, green, purple, white and red glasses.

The temple is open from 7 am to 10 pm every day to devotees and tourists can visit between 1 pm and 5 pm.
