Dschang is a city belonging to the West (Ouest) Province of Cameroon, covering an area of 225 square kilometers. Dschang is the administrative center of the division of Ménoua, situated around 50 kilometers west of the provincial capital, Bafoussam and 210 kilometers northeast of the country’s commercial capital, Douala. Placed around 1400 meters above sea level, Dschang features winsome scenery and moderately cool temperatures, making it as one of the prominent mountain tourist resorts of Cameroon.

History of Dschang:

Dschang was founded during the German rule in Cameroon in the year end of the 19^th century and was promoted as the capital of a Germany military district by replacing Fontem. The literal meaning of the name Dschang in the native language is ‘dispute’ referring disputes between two bordering chiefdoms in the 1910s.

Connectivity to Dschang:
