Costa Rica formally called as the Republic of Costa Rica is a country in Central America. Costa Rica has a total area of 51,100 square kilometers (19,653 square miles) positioned at the highest elevation of 3,819 meters (12,530 feet) above the sea level and the largest lake is Arenal Lake and consists of several islands. History of Costa Rica:

Costa Rica was populated by indigenous peoples before the settlement of Spanish in the country.
