Jordan formally called as Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is an Arab kingdom in Middle East and Jordan is situated on the banks of River Jordan. History of Jordan:

Jordan is a historical country and various monuments and ruined forts are found in the country and Jordan was ruled by Edom, Moab, Ammon, Pharaonic Egypt and Ottomans kingdoms. To retain Jordan region many wars were fought between various kingdoms and during the wars many forts and monuments were destroyed and during the World War I, many tribes of Arab fought to retain Arab from Ottoman Empire and during this war British helped to retain the region. After the independence in the year 1946, Jordan was ruled by King Hussein from 1953 to 1999 though many wars were fought between the neighboring counties to retain Jordan and in the year 1994, a formal peace treaty was signed with Israel and from the year 1999 King Abdullah II is the official king of Jordan.

Jordan is a historical city surrounded by mountains and Jordan River and there are few natural sites as well.
