Ahungalla is a village located in Southern Province of Sri Lanka, about 42 kms northwest of Galle City and about 92 kms south of national capital Colombo. It is famous for its beautiful beach and Geoffrey Bawa building.

Ahungalla was damaged by tsunami on 26 December 2004 and later recovered by the support of the government. Ahungalla houses many schools, post office and shops.

Ahungalla is placed between latitude 6°19′ in the north and longitude 80°2′ in the east.

Ahungalla is served by Bentota River Airport located at a distance of 20 kms and other nearest airport is Ratmalana Airport (about 80 kms distance).
