Sarajevo is the largest and capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina and located in the south central part of the country. History of Sarajevo:

Sarajevo is one of the oldest settled regions in Europe and during the Middle Ages it was the division of Bosnian province of Vrhbosna. Sarajevo prospered during the rule of Ottoman who constructed the buildings, administration offices, mosques and developed the colonies. The town was burned to ground during the Great Turkish War in 1697 and city was completely destroyed except few churches and mosques and later Ottoman reconstructed the city and was the major administrative hub by 1850.
