Kissimmee was founded in the 19th century and named as Allendale and in the year 1883 the name was changed to Kissimmee and small steamboat industry was established in the city. Kissimmee is located at the distance of 431 kilometers from the capital of Florida, Tallahassee and coordinates are 28.2917° N, 81.4078° W.
