Gachsaran is a county situated in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province of Iran. Dogonbadan is the capital city of Gachsaran County and is sited about 150 kms southwest of provincial capital Yasuj and about 930 kms south of national capital Tehran.

Gachsaran County is located between 30°20′ N latitude and 50°45′ E longitude. It features a Mediterranean climate.
