History of Walbrzych:

According to the historians, it is believed that the Walbrzych city was first settled during the early medieval Slavic and they were engaged in hunting, honey gathering, and agriculture. Coal mining was established in the year 1536 and later in the 19th century the area was transformed into an industrial centre. At the end of the Second World War, the region became part of a Polish state and new housing estate was constructed in the city.
