Zabrze is a city in Silesian Voivodeship in south part of Poland was established in the 13th century. Zabrze spans an area of 80.40 square kilometers (31.04 square miles) and Katowice metropolitan area is located at the distance of around 22 kilometers from Zabrze city. Zabrze city economy depends on manufacturing industries and coal and iron mining and other industries included are wire, glass, chemical, and oil and breweries and few others.

History of Zabrze:

According to records, it is believed that the Zabrze city was established around 1243 and in the Middle Ages the local German settled in the territory. In the year 1526, Zabrze became the division of Habsburg Monarchy of Austria and the first mining industry was established in the year 1790. During the World War I the town was the part of Germany but during the Second World War the town was assigned to Poland.
