The lord located in this temple is quite different from the ones we get to see in other temples. One can notice that the lord has a round face and sporting a moustache.
The temple was built using materials like sand, stones, bricks, cement, lime, jelly and marble. As the white marble is fully used for the construction of the temple, the Sanctum Sanctorum is made up off gold and silver. The temple is open for devotees from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. and during Hanuman Jayanthi it is kept open throughout the day. The Salasar Balaji temple undertakes some of the regular activities like performing aartis on particular days, recitation of Ramayan and Hanuman Chalisa, singing of kirtans and bhajans in glory of the lord and feeding the poor with lunch and prasadam.
