Bhilwara is located in Rajasthan known for famous Bhilwara Jain temples and other tourist hubs located at 1381 feet above sea level. Bhilwara is located in Mewar region and is a major textile producing city in Rajasthan. History of Bhilwara:

Bhilwara can be traced back to prehistoric period when Neolithic culture was at its peak in Bagore village. It is said that a pillar belonging to first century B.C. was excavated which shows the proof of vedic culture and rituals. Bhilwara also dates back to Mahabharata period when ace archer Arjuna had a fight with local tribals called Bhils. The Bhils were the first settlers and hence the place came to be called as Bhilwara.

Badnore Fort:

Badnore Fort is located about 70 kms away from Bhilwara that is located on a top of a hill. This seven storey fort is built in medieval Indian military style and is a major tourist spot near Bhilwara.

Pur Udan Chatri:

Pur Udan Chatri is famous for Udan Chatri and one main attraction of this place is a big rock is balanced on a small rock. The place gets attracted by many local as well as foreign tourists all round the year.

Hanuman Temple:

It is said that a rock was formed by its own having image of lord Hanuman where later a temple was built in name of lord Hanuman. Beside to Hanuman temple there are also temples dedicated to Mahadev and Mataji who are worshipped with full faith and devotion.

Mandal:

Mandal is located at 16 kms away from city of Bhilwara famous for chhatri made of sandstones consisting of 32 pillars. The chhatris have beautiful carvings and have a huge Shivling which draws many tourists all round the year.
