Kingston is situated on the southeastern Coast of the Jamaica Island is a largest city in the country. Kingston is the capital of the country spans an area of 480 square kilometers (190 square miles) and situated at an elevation of 30 feet (9 meters) above the sea level is surrounded by the Blue Mountains. History of Kingston:

Kingston was established in the year 1692, but earthquake destroyed the Port Royal prior to which farming was the livelihood in the region. During the 18th century lots of brick houses were constructed in the territory, but in another devastating earthquake in the year 1907, nearly all the buildings in the city went vanished. Later in the year 1960, Kingston emerged as the major business district.
