Jonava is a city belonging to the county of Kaunas in central Lithuania, covering an area of 13.6682 sq. km. It is the 9^th largest city of the country in terms of population, situated about 30 km northeast of the county capital, Kaunas and 100 km northwest of the national capital, Vilnius.
