In the year 1054, Antiguo Cuscatlan was established by Topilizin Atzil, the last king of Tula and was inhabited by ten thousand people and in the year 1524, Spanish established the Antiguo Cuscatlan under the guidance of Pedro de Alvarado and was opposed by the local people.
