Upernavik is a town in Qaasuittsup municipality situated towards the North West part of Greenland. Tasiilaq is a town in Sermersooq Municipality in south eastern part of the Greenland is the 7^th largest town in the Greenland. History of Tasiilaq:

Tasiilaq was first inhabited by Saqqaq culture people who visited from eastern Greenland and was recognized as Peary Land and later Dorset culture migrated to the town and later Thule migrated to the area in 15^th century. Due to the back migration the western Coast was uninhabited from 200 years until 18^th century. Population started to settle in the town during 19^th century and permanent settlement was established in the year 1894 by Danish traders and was named as Ammassalik and later in the year 1997, was renamed as Tasiilaq.

Sisimiut is a town in Qeqqata Municipality in Greenland located towards the central western part of Greenland at the shoreline of Davis Strait is the second largest town in the Greenland. History of Sisimiut:

Sisimiut was inhabited by the Saqqaq culture people around 4,500 years ago, who arrived from Arctic Canada and were the first to settle in the region and remained for the two millennia and left some artifacts and plentiful archeological finds on the Coast of Davis Strait. Around 500 BCE, few arrived from Canada named as Dorset Culture and inhabited for the next 700 years. Between the 13^th and 14^th century, Thule people arrived attracted by the flora.

In the year 1764, General Trade Company established the town as the trading port and named as Holsteinsborg, after its fjord. During the 18^th century various developments and buildings were constructed in the town. During the 20^th century fishing industry and port was established in the town.
