Isabela is one of the municipalities in Puerto Rico geographically positioned at 18°30′47″ N 67°04′12″ W. Humacao takes its name from Jumacao, a native Indian Chief and his statue erected on the east side of the town. It was formed in the month of April, 1722 and became a separate town in 1793. Fajardo-Humacao diocese (Roman Catholic diocese) was constructed on March, 2008.
