Trinidad is the capital city of the Benin Department in Bolivia country surrounded by forest region and numerous large rivers and lakes and spans an area of 10 square miles (27 square kilometers) and located at an elevation of 427 feet (130 meters) above the sea level.

Trinidad is surrounded by Santa Ana, Santa Ana del Yacuma, San Ignacio de Moxos, San Borja and Ascension and located at the distance of 1,035 kilometers from Sucre, capital of Bolivia. Coordinates of Trinidad are 14.8292° S, 64.9014° W.

 

History of Trinidad:

Padre Cipriano Barace established the city in the year 1686 on the banks of River Mamore, but later shifted to current location in the year 1769 due to flooding.
