Gwangju is a city in South Korea commonly known as the Gwangju Metropolitan City is the 6th biggest city in South Korea. History of Gwangju:

Gwangju was inhabited from 57 BC and has been major political and economic hub ever since. During the Japanese rule in the year 1929, war among Korean and Japanese scholars in the metropolitan turned into a regional revelation. Later various industries were established in the city and in the year 1986 Gwangju was alienated from Jeollanam-do and became the straight governed city.
