Bregenz city is situated on the banks of River Constance towards the western part of the Austria country is the capital of Vorarlberg state. History of Bregenz:

According to records, Bregenz city was inhabited by the Celtic tribes in the 5th century and Romans invaded the city in the year 15th century BC. Missionaries were established in the Bregenz city by Saint Columbanus and Saint Gall in 610 AD and in 917, the fort was constructed in the city. Habsburgs Purchased the town in the year 1523 and ruled by Austrian and later captured by Swedish forces and from 1805 to 1814, it was under the rule of Bavarian empire and port was constructed on Lake Constance and later became one of the trading centers in the country.
