Bhitarkanika National Park is situated in Kendrapara district in Odisha spreading over 672 sq kms bound by swampy mangroves, river delta and beach. The Bhitarkanika National Park was opened in the year 1975 and is maintained by Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Govt. of India.
Bhitarkanika National Park is rich in flora and fauna and the tourists can spot many wild animals and reptiles within the park. The national park is home to salt water crocodile, white crocodile, Indian alligator, Indian Python, wild pigs, chitals, monkeys, king cobra, water lizards and Indian bison.
