The history of Tilburg goes back to the 15^th century, when the Tilburg Castle was constructed by Jan van Haestrecht, Tilburg’s one of the lords. Tilburg Castle was demolished to build a factory in 1858 and in 1995, the factory was cleared from that location and a replica of the castle built in the original site.
