Siana is a village situated in Jalore district in Rajasthan. It is sited 36 kms away from district capital Jalore and about 360 kms from the state capital city Jaipur. Siana falls under Jalore Lok Sabha Constituency and Jalore Legislative Assembly Constituency. Hindi and Marwari are generally speaking languages in Siana. The Postal Code of Siana is 343024.

Siana is located between latitude 25.35° in the north and longitude 72.62° in the east.

History of Siana:

Siana was under the rule of Sirohi state until 1573 A.D., Sirohi ruler gifted it to Jalore ruler after few years.

Siana is well connected with its nearby regions and major cities of the state road and railway. It is located at a distance of 36 kms from Jalore town.

Siana has its own bus terminal located in the centre of the townand there are buses frequently depart from Siana Bus Stand to Jalore, Jodhpur and Other neighboring regions. Tourists can also board buses from other local bus terminals.

Sundha Mata Temple:

Sundha Mata Temple is a beautiful temple in the foot of Aravalli Range. It is located about 105 kms from Jalore city and is placed at an altitude of 1220 meters. This sacred place is devoted to Goddess Chamunda Devi and is visited by huge number of pilgrims from Gujarat and Rajasthan states annually.

Sundha Mata Temple is constructed with higher percentage of white marble and the design of the pillars looks amazing. The temple contains the idols of Goddess Chamundi, Shiva and Parvati.

Jalore Fort:

Jalore Fort also called as ‘Golden Mount’ or ‘Sonagir’ was constructed during 10^th century by the Paramaras. It is one of the safest forts in India. Suraj Pol, Dhruv Pol, Bal Pol and Siroh Pol are the four doorways of Jalore Fort.

Mosque of Malik Shah:

Mosque of Malik Shah is situated in the heart of Jalore Fort. It was constructed by Ala-ud-din Khilji and the designs inspired by Gujrati style of architecture.

Sire Mandir Temple:

Sire Mandir Temple is situated 3 kms away from the centre of Jalore city. It was built by Raja Ratan Singh. The temple includes a big water tank and there is one big statue of an elephant sited opposite the temple.

Kot Kasta:

Kot Kasta is a village situated about 65 kms from Jalore city. Kot and Kasta were two villages in the past but now both are combined as a single village. Kot Kasta is known for one ancient fort ‘Nath Fort’ and it is believed that this fort is more than 200 year older. The fort includes tower, an entry gate and a three-storied palace rampart.
