Soufriere is surrounded by Saltibus, Vieux Fort and Incommode and located at the distance of 42 kilometers from capital of Saint Lucia, Castries. Coordinates of Soufriere are 13.8540° N, 61.0592° W.

History of Soufriere:

Soufriere was established by French and was the capital of the island. In the year 1789, French Revolution consequences numerous slaves freed but later in the year British tried to capture the island but succeeded in the year 1803. For many years Soufriere has suffered from various hurricanes.
