History of Olsztyn:

First settlement in Olsztyn was established in the year 1346, along the Lyna River and first castle was established by Teutonic Knights and later became one of the main settlements in the region. In the year 1772, the town was captured by Kingdom of Prussia and in the year 1871, railway line was constructed in Olsztyn. After the World War I, the town was settled by Polish populaces.
