Lonavala is a famous hill station located in Sahyadri Ranges in Pune District of Maharashtra State. It is placed at a height of 622 meters from the mean level of sea. Lonavala is about 95 km from Mumbai and 65 km away from Pune City. Lonavala spans over an area of 38 sq. km. and draws its name from Sanskrit word ‘Lonavali’, means ‘group of caves’.
