Caye Caulker is a small island in Belize country situated towards the Caribbean Sea. Caye Caulker is Limestone Island and under water caves are found in the island and Caye Caulker village is located on the island. Economy of the island depends on fishing and tourism. History of Caye Caulker:

Caye Caulker was inhabited for 100 of years but settlement was established in the year 1847, during the Caste War of Yucatan. Queen Victoria granted the area of the Caye Caulker to Luciano Reyes and fishing was the main occupation on the island. Caye Caulker was hit by Hurricane Hattie in the year 1961, claiming many lives and destroyed buildings and houses. Village council and British Army helped in rebuilding the islands and various houses were constructed on the islands.
